This valve controls the constant low pressure of fuel inside the injection pump, releases excess fuel back to the fuel tank, and maintains stable oil supply pressure for the whole fuel system. A worn or stuck return valve will cause fuel backflow leakage, insufficient fuel supply, difficult cold start, engine power drop and unstable idle speed.
