The steel ball type fuel pump is assembled on the side of the mechanical fuel injection pump and is driven by the engine cam to drive the internal piston to convey low-pressure fuel. A manual plunger is provided as a companion to remove air from the fuel line, and a built-in steel ball one-way valve is included to prevent fuel backflow. After long-term field or construction site operations in dusty conditions, the steel ball seal may wear out and the plunger seal may leak, resulting in air entering the fuel line, insufficient fuel supply, and difficulty in starting.
